Launchpad Mentorship

Career goals, technical skills, and a real project to finish.

Ages 14 to 18 · 6 months · One-to-one pairing · Free

What it is

If you are a girl aged 14 to 18, Launchpad pairs you one-to-one with a woman working in aerospace for six months. Together you work toward a real project: a career plan, a technical skill, a piece of research, or a presentation. It is not theory. It is something you finish.

We match mentors on discipline and ambition, not availability. If we cannot match you well straight away, we hold your place until we can.

What mentees get

  • Career goals, defined and pursued with someone who has done it
  • Technical skills, from coding to satellite imagery analysis
  • A real project to finish and present
  • A community of peers across 12 countries

Mentor requirements

Every mentor is vetted before they meet a young person.

All mentors go through background checks and reference verification before we pair them with a minor. Mentors commit to at least 2 hours a month for 6 months. Either side can end a pairing without giving a reason, and we re-match within a month.
