What it is
If you are a girl aged 10 to 14, or a parent looking for something that will stick, this camp is for you. STEM Ignite Camps run for one week and every activity is led by women scientists, engineers, and technologists. Girls build and launch model rockets, learn to read satellite imagery, run soil experiments, and meet women working across aerospace, from mission control to materials science.
Camps are free, including travel and meals. Every camper leaves with a named contact who checks in for twelve months. Sustained contact like this is the strongest predictor of long-term impact in our follow-up data.
